The tallest lift number does not define the best mast. A useful mast choice must reach the placement point, pass through the lowest opening and retain the capacity the load needs.

Review these points together before comparing models or accepting a configuration.
Maximum fork height
Measure the required fork level, not only the rack beam. Allow for pallet entry and safe placement clearance.
Lowered mast height
Check doors, trailers, mezzanines, pipes and other overhead limits before choosing a taller mast.
Free lift
Where overhead space is restricted, ask how far the forks can rise before the mast extends.
Capacity at height
A taller mast does not guarantee the rated load at maximum height. Request configuration-specific confirmation.

How much extra lift height should I allow?
Provide the true fork level and placement geometry. The final allowance should be confirmed for the rack, pallet and handling method.
What is lowered mast height?
It is the mast height in its lowered state and should be checked against the lowest opening along the route.
When is free lift important?
Free lift is useful where forks must rise while overall mast height remains limited, such as inside containers or low buildings.
Does a higher mast change capacity?
It can. Ask for available capacity at the required height, load centre and attachment configuration.
