A rated-capacity label is only a starting point. The actual load, its centre of gravity, lift height, mast and attachment all influence the configuration that should be checked.

Review these points together before comparing models or accepting a configuration.
Load weight
Use the maximum verified operating load, including packaging, pallet and any carrier—not an average shift load.
Load centre
Measure from the fork face to the load centre of gravity. Long, offset or irregular loads can change the load moment.
Lift height
State the height where the full load must be placed. Available capacity may change as lift height and mast configuration change.
Attachment effect
Include attachment weight, thickness and forward offset. Ask for the resulting capacity for the complete configuration.

Is rated capacity available at every lift height?
No. Rated capacity applies under defined conditions. Ask for capacity at the required height, load centre and configuration.
Why does a longer load matter?
A longer load can move its centre of gravity farther from the fork face, increasing the load moment and changing available capacity.
Do attachments reduce forklift capacity?
An attachment can add weight and move the load forward. Its effect must be included in the capacity review.
What should I send for an irregular load?
Send weight, dimensions, centre-of-gravity information, pickup method, placement height and clear photos or drawings.
